Jessy Rompies (born April 14, 1990 in Jakarta ) is an Indonesian tennis player .

Career

Rompies started tennis at the age of seven and their preferred surface is sand. She primarily plays on the ITF Women's Circuit , where she has won two tournaments in singles and 26 in doubles so far.

Rompies played their first professional match in September 2005 in their hometown Jakarta. In September 2006 it was first included in the world rankings. In June 2010 she won her first individual ITF tournament, and in June 2011 the second. Her greatest success in singles came when she reached the semi-finals at the $ 25,000 tournament in Cairns , Australia , where she had to admit defeat to Sandra Zaniewska 2: 6 and 0: 6. At the Alya WTA Malaysian Open 2017 in Kuala Lumpur , she and her partner Jawairiah Noordin received a wildcard for the main draw in doubles.

In college tennis, she and her partner Beatrice Gumulya reached the quarter-finals of the 2015 NCAA Division I Tennis Championships .

Rompies has been nominated six times for the Indonesian Fed Cup team . In 23 matches she was able to win 14 of 28 matches, three of which were singles and eleven doubles.
