Samantha Dawn Murray Sharan (* as Samantha Dawn Murray on October 9, 1987 in Stockport ) is a British tennis player .

Career

Murray began playing tennis at the age of five and mostly plays ITF tournaments, where she has won two singles and 18 doubles so far.

She competed three times to qualify for a Grand Slam tournament , but could never reach the main field. In 2013 and 2014 she got a wildcard for the main draw at Wimbledon , but was eliminated in the first round.

Murray, who did not play a tournament from July 2014 to April 2016, was no longer in the world rankings from July 2015 . But shortly after her comeback, she won her eleventh double title on April 30, 2016 at the ITF Women's Circuit .
