Katy Dunne (born February 16, 1995 in Hemel Hempstead , Hertfordshire ) is a British tennis player .
Career
Dunne mainly plays tournaments on the ITF Women's Circuit , where she has won six singles and eight doubles titles so far. On the WTA Tour she reached a main field for the first time at the AEGON Classic 2014 after successfully playing her way through the qualification with a wildcard .
In Grand Slam tournaments , Dunne has so far only appeared at the Wimbledon Championships ; From 2012 to 2017 she received a wildcard for the qualification there, but was eliminated in the first or second qualifying round. In 2018, the wildcard secured her a start in the main draw at Wimbledon , where she had to admit defeat to 12 seeded Jelena Ostapenko in the first round .
She achieved her best world ranking positions in doubles in October 2017 with rank 166 and in singles with rank 212 in May 2018.
