Jimmy Pop , formerly Jimmy Pop Ali (*  27. August 1972 in Trappe , Pennsylvania as James Moyer Franks ), is an American musician . He was the singer , songwriter and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Bloodhound Gang .

biography

After graduating from Perkiomen Valley High School, he studied communication and history at Temple University in Pennsylvania, where he met the later Bloodhound gang bassist Jared Hennegan . With his fellow students Daddy Long Legs, Bubba K Love and Foof, he founded the Bloodhound Gang in 1992 and at that time still produced the first albums himself to save money.

Jimmy Pop is still the producer of the Bloodhound Gang to this day to keep control of the band. Jimmy Pop only plays guitar at concerts, while Lupus Thunder is the studio guitarist .

Jimmy Pop is the founder and owner of the Jimmy Franks Recording Company , where the Bloodhound Gang releases their CDs. He also starred in several episodes of the MTV series Viva La Bam - and in Bam Margera's film Where the ♯ $ &% Is Santa? with , and recorded a song with the German DJ Tomcraft . In August 2010 Disco Pogo by the Atzen and Jimmy Pop appeared in the USA.
