One Fierce Beer Coaster is the second studio album by the US band Bloodhound Gang . It was released on December 3, 1996 in the USA on Republic Records .
Origin and style
Initially published by Republic Records , the major label Geffen Records soon became aware of the group and released the album. Singer Jimmy Pop was the producer for the record, which was recorded between March and June 1996. The music moves between alternative rock , punk rock and pop-punk with a few excursions into funk metal . The band works with electronic elements from hip-hop such as turntables or sampling .
reception
With the album, the band was able to reach the charts for the first time. In Germany , the album came in at number 14. In particular, the single Fire Water Burn developed into a first hit and made it to number four in the charts in the Netherlands and number two in Norway . Allmusic's Stephen Thomas Erlewine wrote that the album captured the group's sound better than the debut, but that the lyrics that made jokes about farting and oral sex were not really comfortable. It awarded three out of five stars.

Trivia
- The album was first released by Republic Records before the band signed a recording deal with Geffen Records . - On the LP the sides are not called A and B , as usual , but with Sue`s Side (Suicide) and Jen`s Side (Genocide).
