Jindřichova Ves ( German Heinrichsdorf ) is a district of Kalek in the Czech Republic.
geography
The village is about 18 kilometers away from Chomutov on the slight hill Steinberg . It borders directly on Načetín (Natschung). Jindřichova Ves has no town center. The center is the area around the chapel on the border with Načetín with a forest house, an inn and a shop.
history
Jindřichova Ves is one of the youngest places in the area. It was founded in 1775 by Count Heinrich von Rottenhan as a settlement for forest workers and charcoal burners . It received the original name Heinrichsdorf from the founder, an important entrepreneur of his time. According to tradition, the first settlers were mostly the second born of the farmers from Märzdorf and Neudorf . The charcoal burners came from Hessen . Twelve years after it was founded, there were already 26 houses here; In 1846 the village had 431 inhabitants. They were now woodworkers, quarry workers and nail smiths . Almost every second house had a workshop, in which nails are mainly made for the railroad and shipping . This trade was introduced by Anton Heeg , who built a self-developed nail production machine in 1870 after his years of traveling abroad. At the beginning of the 20th century, production was mostly stopped because the needle factories in the area made manual production unprofitable. During the Second World War , military hospitals were built in the village . Czech doctors and merchants who were married to Jewish women and employed as forced laborers in the forest were arrested in the Kosch restaurant .
Heinrichsdorf belonged to the parish of Kallich ( Kalek ). The small chapel was built in 1892. Since 1960 the place belongs politically to Kalek. In 2001 the village consisted of 20 houses in which 44 people lived.
