Joachim Kößler
Joachim Kößler (born November 17, 1950 in Bretten ) is director of the Bundesbank and politician of the CDU .
education and profession
Joachim Kößler grew up in the Rinklingen district of Bretten and trained as an industrial clerk after finishing elementary school . Then he attended the vocational school with the completion of the secondary school leaving certificate and did his military service . He studied at the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences and graduated with a degree in business administration (FH) . In addition, he studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg with a degree in economics .
He worked in Stuttgart , Frankfurt am Main , Ludwigshafen am Rhein and Mannheim before he became head of the Karlsruhe branch of the Deutsche Bundesbank as Bundesbank director . In addition to this work, he gives lectures in economics / economic policy at the Karlsruhe University of Cooperative Education .
Political activity
Joachim Kößler began his political career with the Junge Union (JU) in his place of birth, Bretten. At the Junge Union he took on the role of a board member and later became deputy district chairman of Karlsruhe-Land . In the parent party he was then elected to the Gondelsheim CDU executive committee and is a deputy chairman of the CDU Karlsruhe-Land district executive. He also represents the district association on the district executive board of the CDU North Baden .
Since the state elections in 2006 he has been a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg for the Bretten constituency . There he is a member of the Finance Committee and the Standing Committee .
As a member of parliament he is a member of the media council of the State Office for Communication Baden-Württemberg and a member of the administrative board of the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe .
Family and private
Joachim Kößler is married and has two daughters and a son. He is socially committed as a member of the advisory board for addiction aid of the Evangelische Stadtmission Heidelberg gGmbH .
