Joaquín Boghossian , full name Antonio Joaquín Boghossian Lorenzo , (born June 19, 1987 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player with Armenian roots.

Career start in Uruguay and Argentina
Depending on the sources, Joaquín Boghossian, who is 1.94 meters or 1.97 meters tall, began his career in 2005 at Club Atlético Cerro in Montevideo . In the subsequent Apertura he scored three hits in twelve league appearances. On January 21, 2016, his move to the Argentine club Arsenal de Sarandí for 18 months on loan was announced. There he met three times in 16 first division appearances.
Then in 2017 he moved to CA Sarmiento and one season later to Sport Huancayo in Peru . In 2019 he played first for Plaza Colonia and then for IA Sud América , before joining Club Atlético Cerro again in January 2020 .
National team
Joaquín Boghossian was for the U-20 selection of Uruguay at the Campeonato Sudamericano 2007 in action, where he was able to achieve third place with the team. For the 2010 World Cup in South Africa , he was in the extended squad of the senior team , but was not nominated because he was preferred to much more experienced players such as Diego Forlán , Luis Suárez and Edinson Cavani .
