Joaquin Jesse Gage (born October 19, 1973 in Vancouver , British Columbia ) is a former Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper who played for the Edmonton Oilers in the National Hockey League and the Kassel Huskies in the German ice hockey league .

Career

He was drawn 109th in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers in the fifth round . In 1994/95 and 1996/97 he also played in the NHL . In 2003 he came to Germany to join the Kassel Huskies in several positions . These were actually the relegated athletes in the 2004/2005 season . However, due to the critical indoor situation of Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg, they were still granted the license to remain in the league and Wolfsburg had to relegate , so that Gage ran again for the Huskies in the DEL in the 2005/06 season. After the end of the 2005/2006 season, in which the Kassel Huskies relegated again, Gage's contract ended.

From October 24, 2006 to the summer of 2007, Gage played in the second Bundesliga with Moskitos Essen , where he was initially signed with a try-out contract. For the 2007/2008 season, Joaquin Gage was signed by HC Pustertal ( Serie A / Italy ), which was not entirely new territory for him, as his wife was the coach of Carolina Kostner (figure skating star from Val Gardena , South Tyrol ).
