Job ter Burg

Job ter Burg (born September 13, 1972 in Maarn ) is a Dutch film editor .

Life

Job ter Burg is the son of the Dutch composer Wim ter Burg . He attended the Revius Lyceum in Doorn from 1984 to 1990 and then studied film editing at the Nederlandse Film en Televisie Academie , which he graduated in 1996.

He started his professional career as an editor for short films and for a Dutch television series that was broadcast from 1995 to 1998. In 1997 he worked for the first time as an editor for Martin Koolhoven , whom he had known since studying together at the film school. In Darklight followed in 1999 the award-winning film Suzy Q . In 2006 he worked for Paul Verhoeven for the first time , who in 2006 made another film with Black Book in the Netherlands after 20 years in the USA. He was nominated for a César in 2017 for the montage of Verhoeven's film Elle .

Job ter Burg is co-founder and member of the Netherlands Association of Cinema Editors (NCE) and member of American Cinema Editors (ACE)
