Joby Baker

Joseph N. "Joby" Baker (born March 26, 1934 in Montreal ) is a Canadian actor .

Life

Baker made his television debut in a guest role on the Red Skelton Show in 1952 . After a feature film role not mentioned in the credits and another small guest appearance in a comedy show, he got the role of Stinky in the surf comedy April discovered the men next to Sandra Dee and James Darren in 1958 . As a result, he played in a number of other feature films in the early 1960s and made numerous appearances in successful series formats such as Dr. Kildare , Perry Mason and Smoking Colts .

In 1966, Baker starred in the Elvis Presley comedy Curves Lily and starred in several Disney films in later years . In 1968 he got one of the leading roles in the sitcom Good Morning World at the side of Ronnie Schell , but this was set after the end of the first season with 26 episodes. In the 1970s his film roles became rarer, his last television appearance in 1984.

Baker's first marriage from 1959 to 1961 was the actress Joan Blackman , whom he had met in drama school. He has two children from his second marriage. In his third marriage, he was married to the writer and singer-songwriter Dory Previn from 1986 until her death in 2012 .
