Joseph Mark "Joe" Trohman (born September 1, 1984 in Hollywood , Florida , United States ) is an American guitarist . He is a member of The Damned Things and the rock band Fall Out Boy .

Joe Trohman grew up in South Russel, east of Cleveland , Ohio. At the age of twelve he moved to the suburbs of Chicago and attended Washburne Middle School. During this time he played in several bands. He then went to New Trier Township High School and played bass in the band Arma Angelus . There he met Pete Wentz , with whom he later founded Fall Out Boy. Before that, however, the two played together in different bands. Due to the many failures, however, they came up with the idea of ​​forming their own band. Joe met Patrick Stump and introduced him to Pete Wentz, after which he was eventually accepted into the band.

Joe Trohman was born in Hollywood, Florida. The family moved to South Russell, Ohio before finally settling in suburban Chicago. There Trohman later attended New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois, together with Pete Wentz. He later bought a house in Chicago (Lincoln Park), which he sold in early 2014. This house was featured on an episode of MTV Cribs in 2007.

Trohman married in 2011 and had a daughter in 2014.
