Joel Fein
Joel Fein (born June 19, 1944 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , † September 22, 2007 in Wichita , Kansas ) was an American sound engineer .
Life
Fein was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Sound category early in his career , in 1979 for The Buddy Holly Story , along with Tex Rudloff , Curly Thirlwell and Willie D. Burton . After a few film projects in the 1980s, he was involved in sixteen feature films between 1988 and 1993, after which no further Hollywood engagements followed and his focus of work shifted entirely to television.
From 1992 to 2003 he was involved in numerous television productions, including television films such as Psycho IV - The Beginning as well as various series formats. Among other things, he worked on 44 episodes of the crime series Nash Bridges and 61 episodes of Again with Feeling . For his achievements he was nominated three times for the Primetime Emmy , of which he won the award once.
Fein died in Wichita in 2007 at the age of 63.
