Johann Adam Bauer

Johann Adam Bauer (born September 17, 1820 in Buchen (Odenwald) , † February 10, 1899 in Karlsruhe ) was a German archivist .

In 1841, Bauer was the commissioner for the division in Heidelberg . The following year he became a foundation auditor for the district government of the Lower Rhine District in Mannheim . That same year he was Revident on Amtsrevisorat Breisach . In 1843 he returned to Karlsruhe as a Revident at the Grand Ducal Catholic Upper Church Council of the Grand Ducal Ministry of Justice . From 1850 he was a judicial officer and administrator at the Bruchsal cell prison . In March 1872 Bauer was appointed to Karlsruhe as archivist for the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly . In 1884 he became building director and in 1897 retired with the rank of government councilor . In 1892 he became an honorary member of the Germania fraternity (now Teutonia ).

Bauer was known as a dialect poet in his hometown of Buchen .
