Johann Adolph August Wilhelm von Puttkamer

Johann Adolph August Wilhelm von Puttkamer , also von Puttkammer , (born August 28, 1777 in Kremerbruch , † April 16, 1853 in Bartin ) was a Prussian district administrator . From 1806 to 1843 he was in charge of the Rummelsburg district in Western Pomerania .

Life

He was a member of the Puttkamer noble family . His father Jacob Caspar von Puttkamer (1711–1788) owned the Kremerbruch estate, which he managed himself, and other estates. His mother Henriette Louise (1747-1828) was born from Wobeser .

After the death of his father, his older brothers joined the Prussian army . He first came to a guardian and was tutored together with his children until he also joined the Prussian army at the age of 14. In 1800 he took his leave as a lieutenant and devoted himself to the cultivation of his sugar estate .

After the death of District Administrator Johann von Massow , he was elected District Administrator of the Rummelsburg district. He passed the required exam with only moderate results, but was nevertheless appointed district administrator. He held the office of district administrator until 1843; Heinrich von Puttkamer succeeded him in office .

Johann Adolph August Wilhelm von Puttkamer had been married to Auguste Ernestine Charlotte, born von Puttkamer, since 1802.
