Balthasar Ludwig von Wobeser

Balthasar Ludwig von Wobeser (* 1721 ; † July 21, 1796 in Lubben ) was a Prussian district administrator . From 1765 until his death he was in charge of the Rummelsburger Kreis in Western Pomerania .

He came from the Pomeranian noble family Wobeser . His father Ernst Bogislaw von Wobeser († 1748) was a captain in the imperial service . His mother was born von Schönebeck .

Balthasar Ludwig von Wobeser studied for three years at the University of Königsberg . He then joined the Prussian Army , in which he rose to Rittmeister . In 1746 he said goodbye and went to Russia . When he returned, he bought the Lubben , Jassonke and Sellin estates in Western Pomerania in 1758 .

In 1765 he was elected as the successor to Georg Christian von Puttkamer to the district administrator of the Rummelsburger Kreis and appointed by the king . He remained district administrator until his death in 1796. Johann von Massow succeeded him as district administrator .

He had been married to Dorothee Jacobine, a born Puttkamer , since 1761 .
