Heinrich Reich (politician)

Heinrich Reich (born February 7, 1903 in Thurnau , † May 28, 1998 in Sulzburg / Baden ) was district administrator in the Rummelsburg district and in the Ennepe-Ruhr district .

Life

After school education and high school graduation on February 28, 1920 in Göttingen, Heinrich Reich studied law and political science in Munich , Heidelberg , Freiburg and Göttingen . In the summer of 1923 he passed the first state examination in law and received his doctorate on November 30th of that year. After working as a court assessor at the Northeim district court and Göttingen regional court, he became a government assessor at the Rendsburg district office in December 1926 . He was transferred to the Arnsberg district office in November 1930. On May 1, 1933, he joined the National Socialist German Workers' Party and had the rank of SA Obersturmführer in the SA . Among other things, he worked in the district government of Köslin and in the Reich Ministry of Food and Agriculture , whereupon he was appointed deputy district administrator in the Rummelsburg district office in November 1934 and was appointed district administrator there in July 1935. Reich moved to Westphalian and on August 2, 1939, he was appointed provisional district administrator in the Ennepe-Ruhr district. On July 10, 1940, he became a permanent district administrator and remained in this position until the end of the war - with an interruption due to the war deployment as adjutant of a replacement battalion. From May 14, 1945 to January 7, 1947, he was in detention . After a time as managing director of a company and as a freelance administrative lawyer, Reich became a consultant at the Federal Audit Office on November 1, 1956 . Promoted to Ministerialrat in 1957, he was appointed Head of Examination Area on December 1, 1959, and Head of Department in 1966, with a promotion to Director. Reich retired on October 1, 1969.
