Johann Caspar Rommel

Johann Caspar Rommel (born October 22, 1721 in Roßdorf (Thuringia) ; † June 12, 1800 there ) was a German organ builder .

He worked in West Thuringia and East Hesse in the second half of the 18th century and is considered an important master. The structure of the new organs follows Thuringian tradition, while the richly designed prospectuses are influenced by Main Franconia .
