Johann Daniel Schulze

Johann Daniel Schulze (born May 23, 1720 in Solsdorf , Thuringia ; † May 10, 1785 in Milbitz , Thuringia) was a German organ builder in Milbitz.

Live and act

Johann Daniel Schulze's father, Hans Elias Schulze, was a carpenter and organ builder in Solsdorf. His son Johann Andreas Schulze continued the workshop, the grandson Johann Friedrich Schulze became one of the most important organ builders of his time.

Works (selection)

Johann Daniel Schulze built organs in what was then the Principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt . Some have been preserved as important evidence of Thuringian organ building art of the 18th century.
