Solsdorf is a district of the town of Königsee in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt district in Thuringia .

geography

Solsdorf is on the northern edge of the Thuringian Forest at an altitude of 370 m above sea level.

history

Solsdorf was first mentioned in a document around 842/856. It was an accessory from the Paulinzella monastery . Until 1918 the place belonged to the sovereignty of the Principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt .

In 1923, the tenant Paul Rohmer managed the local domain , at that time a farm with 102 hectares of agricultural land. After the end of the Second World War, the property was expropriated and later incorporated into an agricultural production cooperative (LPG).
