Johann Gerhardt Röben

Johann Röben (born August 27, 1812 in Norden (East Frisia) , † February 24, 1881 in Dornum , East Frisia ) was a German judge . Before and after the founding of the German Empire , he was a member of the Reichstag .

Life

Röben attended the Progymnasium Norden and the Gymnasium Holzminden . He then began at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-University Bonn Law to study. In 1832 he became active in the Corps Guestphalia Bonn . He moved to the Georg-August University of Göttingen , where he also joined the Corps Friso-Oldenburgia and Guestphalia in 1834 . In 1836 he became an official auditor in Norden, in 1840 a candidate for lawyers, in 1847 an advocate in Dornum and Norden, and from 1850 a senator in Norden. District judge there since 1852, he was transferred to Aurich in 1860 .

Parliamentarians

In 1848 he was elected to the Frankfurt National Assembly, of which he was a member until he moved to Stuttgart. He was first in the casino (parliamentary group) , then in the Landsbergan club. As a member of the Navy Committee, he was the rapporteur on the German war and trade flag. From 1849 to 1855 he was a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates Assembly of the Kingdom of Hanover and from 1850 to 1853 a member of the East Frisian Provincial Landscape.

From 1867 to 1871 he sat in the Reichstag (North German Confederation) and from 1871 to 1874 in the (German Empire) Reichstag for the National Liberal Party and the constituency province Hannover 2 ( Esens - Aurich ). From 1878 to 1879 he was a member of the constituency of Hanover 1 (Aurich) in the Prussian House of Representatives , where he also belonged to the faction of the National Liberal Party.
