Johann Gottfried von Stockhausen

Johann Gottfried von Stockhausen (* 1685 ; † April 17, 1759 ) was a royal Prussian colonel and head of the Szczecin regional regiment and heir to Deutsch-Sagar ( Krossen district ).

Life

His parents were the Lieutenant Hans Burkhard von Stockhausen (* April 22, 1644, † October 21, 1694) from the Immenhausen house in Saxe-Gotha and his wife Ursula Barbara von Thüna († 1729).

He came into the Brandenburg service in 1702 during the War of the Spanish Succession and fought in numerous battles until 1715. In 1740 he was put on a garrison budget.

He came in 1746 as a major in Garrison Regiment No. 5 ( Mitschefal ). In September 1752 he came with the character of a colonel in the Stettiner Landregiment, of which he was also chief.

He married Marianne Elisabeth von Reitzenstein (* September 16, 1710; † March 19, 1746) daughter of Christian Siegmund von Reitzenstein and Eva Marie von Reitzenstein. The couple had several children including:

  • Johann Karl Siegmund Leopold (born September 13, 1739; † February 1765), Prussian lieutenant
  • Charlotte August Philippine (* 1741) ⚭ 1757 Otto Ludwig von Wussow on Carow
  • Johann Friedrich Gustav (1743–1804), Prussian major general ⚭ 1774 Luise Henriette Friederike von Ziegler (born August 16, 1759 in Gotha; † February 25, 1814)

After the death of his first wife, he married Anna Sophie von Schweinichen . The marriage remained without children.
