Johann Gottlieb Immermann

Johann Gottlieb Immermann (born January 30, 1707 in Rodersdorf ; † June 16, 1777 in Groß Santersleben ) was a German Protestant clergyman and teacher.

Johann Gottlieb Immermann was the son of Peter Immermann (born April 19, 1672 in Schneidlingen ; † September 30, 1747 in Rodersdorf), pastor in Heteborn and from 1703 to 1705 a deacon in Weferlingen and his wife Sophie Magdalena (born September 8, 1681 in Wegenstedt ; † May 27, 1750 in Rodersdorf), daughter of Johann Walther (1648–1708), pastor in Wegenstedt, born. He still had eight siblings:

  • Friedejust Immermann (born August 15, 1705 in Rodersdorf; † unknown), Dr. med. and doctor in Stendal , married to Anna Dorothea Schultze;
  • Samuel Lebrecht Immermann (born November 12, 1708 in Rodersdorf; † June 10, 1742 in Magdeburg ), became procurator ;
  • Dorothea Elisabeth Immermann (born March 28, 1711 in Rodersdorf; † unknown);
  • Ephraim Erdmann Immermann (born September 22, 1713 in Rodersdorf; † July 12, 1772 in Groß Salze ), was vice rector in Burg (near Magdeburg) , in 1748 he was rector in Groß Salze, he was married several times;
  • Gottfried Ernst Immermann (born June 6, 1717 in Rodersdorf; † unknown);
  • Christian Erdmann Immermann (born May 4, 1719 in Rodersdorf; † unknown) was full professor of the Quarta in the cathedral school in Magdeburg from 1756 to 1760 and then became pastor in Rosian , married to Augusta Dorothea Lohbeck;
  • Justina Sophie Immermann (born January 22, 1723 in Rodersdorf; † unknown), had an illegitimate child with Carl Julius Wilda (1710–1779), war and domain counselor and chamber legal advisor in Magdeburg;

Johann Gottlieb Immermann was in Magdeburg since June 24, 1734, his first marriage to Sophie Christiane (born September 16, 1712 in Weferlingen, † after 1747), daughter of Johann Michael Wilda (1677–1726), pastor in Weferlingen, and sister of Carl Julius Wilda, married. They had seven children together. In his second marriage, he was married to Charlotte Esther Maria Wilda, a sister of his first wife, in Magdeburg from May 25, 1749, and they had three children together. Since September 30, 1760 in Groß Santersleben, he was married to Rahel Elisabeth Bergmann (* unknown; † September 2, 1781), widow of Dietrich Lucius, pastor in Welle . They had no children together.

Career

Johann Gottlieb Immermann attended the old town high school in Magdeburg and after completing his studies was appointed vice rector of the cathedral school Magdeburg and on April 17, 1733 by the cathedral preacher Martin Kahle (1668–1742) and the syndic Heinrich Ernst Flörcke (1660–1741) to be Office introduced; with him the new sub-director Johann Elias Wilhelmi (1704–1755) was introduced at the same time.

After the Rector Christian Müller retired (1666-1740), the former vice-principal Johann Gottlieb Immermann was as Vice Rector elected his successor. When he died in 1740, Johann Gottlieb Immermann was appointed rector and remained in this position until he was given the parish office in Groß Santersleben. In 1752 he hired the French language master Moyse Fleuretton to teach French, in the same year the grammar school had five classes with 211 pupils and in 1753 the school's income was 1,274 thalers.

In 1753 he succeeded Franz Rudolf Busch († 1752) as pastor in Groß Santersleben and held this office until his death in 1777.
