Johann Jakob von Mühlenfels

Johann Jakob von Mühlenfels (born August 27, 1746 , † May 19, 1830 in Greifswald ) was a German lawyer and court president in Swedish Pomerania and Prussia .

Life

Johann Jakob von Mühlenfels was the son of Johann Adolf von Mühlenfels auf Wahlendow († 1779), a lieutenant in the satellite corps in Stockholm . The grandfather was also in Swedish military service, was called Müller and was appointed by Emperor Charles VI in 1729 . ennobled.

Johann Jakob studied from 1764 to 1767 at the University of Goettingen and 1768 at the University of Greifswald law . He then worked as a practical lawyer. As he gained an important reputation in the process, he was appointed first assessor of the Greifswald court in 1773 and became its director in 1775. In 1778 he was appointed to the Wismar Higher Tribunal . After this moved to Greifswald, he became its vice-president in 1803 and president from 1808. He remained in this office until the end of his life after the transition from Swedish Pomerania to Prussia.

Johann Jakob von Mühlenfels was honored by the Swedish government with the North Star Order . The Prussian government awarded him the Order of the Red Eagle and the title of " Excellence ".

From his third marriage to Jul. Kath. Magd. The writer Elfriede von Mühlenfels (* around 1810, † 1884) came from Klein .
