Johann Karl von und zu Franckenstein (politician)

Johann Karl Freiherr von und zu Franckenstein (born October 27, 1858 in Munich , † November 28, 1913 in Ullstadt ) was a Bavarian Reichsrat and member of the Reichstag of the German Empire .

Life

Johann Karl von und zu Franckenstein attended grammar school and studied law in Munich. In 1883 he passed the state examination and took over the management of the family estates, which included Ullstadt Castle in Middle Franconia . He was Fideikommissherr as well as capitulary comtor and treasurer of the Bavarian Order of St. George .

From 1890 to 1893 he was a member of the Reichstag for the constituency of Lower Franconia 3 ( Lohr am Main , Karlstadt , Hammelburg , Marktheidenfeld , Gemünden am Main ) and the Center Party . As a member of parliament, he succeeded his father Georg Arbogast von und zu Franckenstein , who had previously represented the constituency in the Reichstag for eighteen years. He was also a member of the Bavarian Reichsrat from 1890 until his death in 1913 .

His brother Moritz von und zu Franckenstein was also a member of the Reichstag for the German Empire.
