Johann Reinhard Hedinger (born September 7, 1664 in Stuttgart ; † December 28, 1704 in Stuttgart) was a German Protestant theologian who, as a representative of early Pietism, introduced the reform ideas of Philipp Jakob Spener to the Duchy of Württemberg and his theological training. He wrote the relevant textbooks for the subjects of practical theology: homiletics (doctrine of preaching), catechetics, poimenics (pastoral care). He also published a hymn book. The liturgy of the Württemberg confirmation goes back to his design from 1704.
