Johannes Lamparter (born November 8, 2001 ) is an Austrian Nordic combined athlete .

Career

Lamparter, who competes for the Nordic Team Absam, completed his first jumps at the age of six under coach Andreas Felder . As early as 2014, he won his first medal at the Austrian state championships as second. Lamparter completed his first FIS competitions in 2016. In the following years he regularly competed in the Alpine Cup . At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Kandersteg in 2018 , he won the team competition with Florian Dagn , Dominik Terzer and Mika Vermeulen . In the individual, he just missed the medal ranks over 10 kilometers in fourth place, whereas he was eighth in the sprint. Subsequently, he made his debut on February 10, 2018 in Eisenerz in the Continental Cup and reached the points straight away. Nevertheless, he did not appear in the Continental Cup for the rest of the season, but was able to win his first victories in the Alpine Cup. At the Nordic Ski Games of the OPA in February 2018 he also won the gold medal in both the youth singles and in the team together with Stefan Rettenegger , Fabian Hafner and Manuel Einkemmer .

In summer 2018 Lamparter completed its first competitions in the Nordic Combined Grand Prix . In this competition series, too, he immediately won the first points on his debut, which he ultimately succeeded in all subsequent competitions. His best individual result was tenth place in Planica . In the Grand Prix overall ranking, he finished 25th. On December 22nd, 2018 he started the World Cup for the first time in Ramsau and scored his first World Cup points a day later with 21st place. At the beginning of January 2019, he achieved his first podium finish at his only Continental Cup weekend of the season in Klingenthal behind Jens Lurås Oftebro and Leif Torbjørn Næsvold . He was able to confirm this performance at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Lahti in 2019 , when he became the dominant athlete alongside Julian Schmid . First he had to admit defeat in the Sprint Schmid before he won bronze with the relay together with Florian Dagn , Max Teeling and Marc-Luis Rainer . In the end he became the individual junior world champion with a lead of around 12 seconds on Schmid. A week later Schmid ran in Klingenthal with an eighth place for the first time in the World Cup in the top 10. He was also in good shape in his first team sprint in the World Cup and together with Bernhard Gruber he finished sixth in Lahti. He finished his first season at the highest level with 36th place in the overall World Cup ranking. In 2019 he was also Austrian youth champion in Villach .

Since Lamparter, as the youth world champion, had a fixed place in the World Cup , he was an integral part of the 2019/20 World Cup team, but did not join the Ramsau until mid-December. From then on he consistently reached the points and was able to establish himself in the World Cup.
