Johannes Rhomberg (* 1980 in Lustenau , Vorarlberg ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Johannes Rhomberg grew up in Lustenau. After his Matura in 1998 at the Bundesgymnasium Dornbirn , he studied political science , first in Innsbruck (there, among other things, at the institute of the well-known Austrian political scientist Anton Pelinka ) and then in Vienna . As Mag. Phil. he finished his studies in 2007.

He completed his acting training in 2004 at the Pygmalion Theater School. Later he attended various acting seminars, u. a. at the Danube University Krems . He had theater appearances at the “Theater Westliches Weinviertel” (2008), at the Theater der Jugend in Vienna (2009, as Staschko in Krabat ), at the Theater im Hof ​​Enns (2010, as Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream ), at the “Theater Mephisto” in Konstanz (2010), at the Drachengasse theater (2012), at the Vorarlberger Volkstheater (2013), and at the “Theater Rakete” in Keutschach (2014). In 2016 he made his first guest appearance at the Theater Kosmos in Bregenz . He also appears privately in stage plays as part of the drama project "Theater in the living room".

Rhomberg took part in several short films and from 2014 also took on his first TV work. He had an episode role in the Austrian crime series SOKO Donau (first broadcast: December 2014); He played the high school professor and class teacher Martin Kahlmann, who taught both the perpetrator and the victim of a murder case and supported the investigators in the investigation.

Rhomberg also works as a musician, lyricist and director. In December 2015 he took over directing the cabaret “Bilanz 2015” at the Vorarlberger Volkstheater. He is also the author of the radio play Bert and Androsch - The search for the treasure with Cornelius Obonya in a leading role. He performs as a musician with his band “Arnheim”, which presents Viennese songs in a modern interpretation, using stylistic elements from pop , rock and jazz .

Rhomberg, who has one son, lives with his family in Vienna.
