John Bernard Delany

John Bernard Delany (born August 9, 1864 in Lowell , Massachusetts , USA ; † June 11, 1906 ) was Bishop of Manchester .

Life

John Bernard Delany received the sacrament of ordination for the Diocese of Manchester on May 23, 1891 .

Pope Pius X appointed him Bishop of Manchester on April 18, 1904. The Apostolic Delegate in the United States, Archbishop Diomede Falconio, OFM , ordained him episcopally on September 8 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Portland , William Henry O'Connell , and the Bishop of Mobile , Edward Patrick Allen .
