John Bull (politician, around 1740)

John Bull (* around 1740 in Prince William's Parish, Beaufort County , Province of South Carolina , colony of the Kingdom of Great Britain , today USA ; † 1802 in Prince William's Parish, Beaufort County , South Carolina , USA) was an American statesman and fighter for American independence , who sat in the Continental Congress for South Carolina from 1784 to 1787 .

He was Justice of the Peace of Greenville County ; Member of the South Carolina Provincial Parliament in 1772 ; also Deputy Provincial Secretary in 1772; 1775 delegate at the first and 1776 at the second provincial congress ; 1776 member of the first general assembly; worked 1778 - 1781 and 1784 in the South Carolina House of Representatives; and served in the South Carolina Senate in 1789 .
