Jonathan Joseph Heder (born October 26, 1977 in Fort Collins , Colorado ) is an American actor who became famous for the film Napoleon Dynamite .

life and career

Heder attended Brigham Young University in Provo , Utah , where he befriended director Jared Hess , who cast him for the lead roles in Napoleon Dynamite and the short film Peluca . Together with Efren Ramirez , Heder also produced several commercials for the Utah State Fair 2005, for which they revived their roles from Napoleon Dynamite . In 2006 Adam Sandler's comedy Die Bench presser starred alongside Rob Schneider and David Spade .

Heder is a professed Mormon and has a twin brother named Dan. He lives in Los Angeles , California with his wife Kirsten, with whom he has three children .
