Jonathan Janil (born September 24, 1987 in Caen ) is a French ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Dragons de Rouen in the Ligue Magnus since 2010 .

Career

Jonathan Janil began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth division of the Drakkars de Caen . With the professional team of the club he rose in the 2004/05 season in his rookie year straight away from the second-rate Division 1 to the Ligue Magnus . In the top French division he spent the following three years with Caen until relegation in the 2007/08 season . For the 2009/10 season he was promoted to Ligue Magnus with Caen as the second division champions.

In the summer of 2010 Janil signed a contract with the top club Dragons de Rouen . With the Dragons he immediately won the Trophée des Champions in September 2010 . In the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons he reached the French championship with his team . He also won the Coupe de France with Rouen in 2011 and the Coupe de la Ligue in 2013 . At European level, he won the IIHF Continental Cup with the team in the 2011/12 season .

International

For France , Janil took part in the junior division in the U18 World Junior Championships in Division I in 2004 and 2005 and in the U20 Junior World Championships in Division I in 2006 and 2007 . In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 2011 World Cup .
