society

Jonny Magallón made his professional debut at Chivas Guadalajara on March 13, 2005 in a super classic of the Mexican Primera División against Club América (3: 3), where he came on in the 75th minute for Adolfo Bautista . His first goal in a championship game he scored on September 25, 2005 in a game at Club San Luis , which Guadalajara won 2-1.

Magallón made his final breakthrough in the Apertura 2006. As the only player in his team who at that time was so equipped with stars like Oswaldo Sánchez , Carlos Salcido , Ramón Morales and Omar Bravo , he played all the games in full length in this round - from the first day of the normal championship round to the finals against the CD Toluca , in which Guadalajara prevailed with an overall result of 3-2 and won his eleventh championship title.

National team

Due to his consistently good performance, Magallón was appointed to the Mexican national team for the first time on February 28, 2007 , where he was used in a friendly against Venezuela (3-1). In the same year he was part of the Mexican squad at the CONCACAF Gold Cup and the subsequent Copa America .

His two most successful internationals both took place in the USA and were encounters against the hosts, who are also Mexico's arch-rivals. His greatest personal triumph was the encounter on February 6, 2008, when he scored his first two international goals and thus had a significant share in the Mexicans' point win (final score 2: 2). His third and so far last international goal came on September 6, 2008 in the Aztec Stadium to the 3-0 final against Jamaica. His greatest success with the team was the 5-0 victory in the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2009 against hosts USA on July 26, 2009.
