Jopez (born Jonas Lang on September 18, 1986 in Schwäbisch Hall ) is a German music producer and DJ from Stuttgart , Germany .

Lang has had a passion for music since his earliest childhood and lives it first during his school days, then during his studies and ultimately full-time. Musical beginnings and life

Lang grew up in Stuttgart and learned to play the violin as a young child . He attended the evangelical Mörike-Gymnasium, where he was able to put his love of music into practice at school by choosing the musical branch and being part of the school orchestra. In 2005 he finished high school and devoted himself to his interest in sound engineering . From 2006 to 2008 he studied audio engineering at the SAE Institute Stuttgart.

Lang has been a DJ since 2003 and has since worked with a large number of artists from various musical genres.

In 2014, the band 's fourth studio album, What´s Goes, "Die Orsons" was mixed in Lang's studio in Stuttgart. The album reached number 2 in the German album charts. Lang was also involved as a producer on the songs Schwung in die Kiste , Sunrise 5.55 AM and Oben Vom Heu on the album.

In 2015 Lang produced the song "Helene" feat. KAAS for the artist's number 1 album Weekend .

Work internationally

In 2016 he produced a reggae / dancehall album together with the Stuttgart sound system Jugglerz, which made it to number 6 on the US reggae Billboard charts. Among others, Beenie Man , Etana , Christopher Martin, I-Octane, J-Boog and many more were represented on the album .

Jopez and the Jugglerz sound system have been under contract with Wonda Music in New York City since 2015 . Wonda Music was founded by 3-time Grammy Award winner Jerry Wonda. Jerry Wonda is the cousin of Wyclef Jean and the producer of the album The Score of the band The Fugees .
