Jordi Masip López (born January 3, 1989 in Sabadell ) is a Spanish football player . He plays as a goalkeeper for Real Valladolid .

Career

Jordi Masip began his football career as an outfield player, but switched to the goalkeeping position at the age of twelve. At the age of 15 he joined the FC Barcelona youth academy . In the 2008/09 season he played on loan for UE Vilajuïga, a club from the fourth highest Spanish division . After his return he played in the B-team of FC Barcelona from 2009 to 2014 and made 79 league appearances there. He played his first second division game in 2009/10 under Luis Enrique .

For the 2014/15 season, coach Luis Enrique called him to the first team, where he is reserve keeper for Claudio Bravo and Marc-André ter Stegen . His contract runs until 2017. On December 16, 2014 Masip completed his first competitive game for the first team in the 8-1 win against SD Huesca in the second leg of the sixteenth-final second leg of the Copa del Rey .

For the 2017/2018 season he moved to Real Villadolid.
