Life
After training as a choir leader in Mexico, he studied singing at conservatories in Hamburg and Bremen. He received lessons from Krisztina Laki , Dieter Schweikard and Enrico Facini , among others . He took master classes with Montserrat Caballé , Lorenzo Regazzo and Gemma Bertagnolli.

Career
He made his debut in Europe as a prize winner of the Rheinsberg Castle Chamber Opera as Dapertuttos in Offenbach's Tales of Hoffmann . This was followed by a permanent engagement at the Schleswig-Holstein State Theater . Martínez was a member of the ensemble there for four years . Further appearances at the Gran Teatro de La Habana in Cuba and at the Kiel Opera House followed.
His repertoire is broad. The roles he has already sung include the title role in Don Giovanni , Figaro, Count Almaviva and Bartolo in Le nozze di Figaro , Escamillo in Carmen , Germont in La traviata , Marcello in La Bohème , Papageno in the Magic Flute , Sharpless in Madama Butterfly , Wolfram in Tannhäuser and Conte di Luna in Il trovatore . In 2019 he appeared in a production of the Neue Oper Wien . He regularly appears at concerts in the orangery at Schönbrunn Palace .
