Jorge Enrique Izaguirre Rafael

Jorge Enrique Izaguirre Rafael CSC (born January 14, 1968 in Casma , Ancash , Peru) is a Peruvian Roman Catholic religious and prelate of Chuquibamba .

Life

Jorge Enrique Izaguirre Rafael joined the Congregation of the Holy Cross and made temporal profession on January 28, 1992 and perpetual profession on January 14, 1996 . He was ordained a priest on February 15, 1997 .

Pope Francis appointed him prelate of Chuquibamba on May 11, 2015 . The bishop of Chosica , Norbert Strotmann MSC , donated him the episcopal ordination on July 10th of the same year. Co- consecrators were his predecessor Mario Busquets Jordá and the emeritus Bishop of Chimbote , Luis Armando Bambarén Gastelumendi SJ .

Jorge Izaguirre is chairman of the Comisión Episcopal de Acción Social (CEAS) of the Peruvian Bishops' Conference (CEP), which coordinates the charitable work of the Catholic Church in Peru.
