José Manuel Lorca Planes (born October 18, 1949 in Espinardo , Spain ) is a Spanish clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Cartagena .

Life

José Manuel Lorca Planes received on 29 June 1975, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On January 15, 2004, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Teruel y Albarracín . The apostolic nuncio in Spain, Archbishop Manuel Monteiro de Castro , donated him episcopal ordination on March 6 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Madrid , Cardinal Antonio María Rouco Varela , and the Archbishop of Saragossa , Elías Yanes Álvarez . On July 18, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Cartagena.
