José Filipe da Silva Moreira (born March 20, 1982 in Massarelos , Porto ) is a Portuguese football goalkeeper who is currently under contract with the Welsh Premier League promoted Swansea City .
Career
society
José Moreira began his career with the Portuguese club SC Salgueiros . There he played six years in his youth. In 1998 he received offers from the four largest clubs in Portugal ( Benfica Lisbon , FC Porto , Boavista Porto and Sporting Lisbon ). He ultimately decided to move to record champions Benfica, where he spent a season in youth. From 2001 to 2011 he played in the first team of his club and was one of the crowd's favorites.
On July 8, 2011, José Moreira moved to Swansea City , where he signed a two-year contract.
National team
In the national team , Moreira played in the juniors for the first time. There he won the U-18 European Football Championship in Sweden in 1999 and the Toulon tournament a year later. He made his debut for the first team in 2009 in a friendly against the Liechtenstein team . In 2004 he was the third goalkeeper in the Portuguese team at the European Championship in his own country, but was not used.
