José Trinidad Sepúlveda Ruiz-Velasco (born March 30, 1921 in Atotonilco El Alto , Mexico ; † September 4, 2017 in Ayotlán , Mexico) was Roman Catholic bishop of San Juan de los Lagos .

Life

José Trinidad Sepúlveda Ruiz-Velasco was ordained a priest on March 27, 1948 after his studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on May 20, 1965 Bishop of Tuxtla Gutiérrez . The Archbishop of Guadalajara , José Cardinal Garibi y Rivera , donated him episcopal ordination on July 25 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were Francisco Javier Nuño y Guerrero , Coadjutor Archbishop of Guadalajara, and José Salazar López , Coadjutor Bishop of Zamora .

He attended the fourth session of the Second Vatican Council .

He was appointed Bishop of San Juan de los Lagos on February 12, 1988 and was installed in office on March 11 of the same year. On January 20, 1999, Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
