José de Jesús González Hernández OFM (born December 25, 1964 in Etzatlán , Mexico ) is a Mexican religious and Roman Catholic prelate of Jesús María del Nayar .

Life

José de Jesús González Hernández entered the religious order of the Franciscans and received on 24 June 1994, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 27, 2010 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the prelate of Jesús María del Nayar . The Archbishop of Guadalajara , Juan Cardinal Sandoval Íñiguez , donated him episcopal ordination on May 25 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, Archbishop Christophe Pierre , and the Prelate Emeritus of Jesús María del Nayar, José Antonio Pérez Sánchez, OFM.

Pope Francis called him on July 8, 2019, to be a member of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life .
