Josafá Menezes da Silva
Josafá Menezes da Silva (born January 2, 1959 in Salinas da Margarida , Bahia , Brazil ) is a Brazilian clergyman and appointed Roman Catholic Archbishop of Vitória da Conquista .
Life
Josafá Menezes da Silva received on 14 May in 1989 by the Archbishop of Sao Salvador da Bahia , Lucas Moreira Neves Cardinal OP , the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On 12 January 2005 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of rubber in Byzacena and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Sao Salvador da Bahia. The Archbishop of São Salvador da Bahia, Geraldo Majella Cardinal Agnelo , donated him episcopal ordination on March 10 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Belo Horizonte , Walmor Oliveira de Azevedo , and the Archbishop Emeritus of Fermo , Cleto Bellucci . On December 15, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Barreiras .
Pope Francis appointed him Archbishop of Vitória da Conquista on October 9, 2019 .
