Josef Bauer (politician, 1912)

Josef Bauer (born March 15, 1912 in Regensburg , † April 9, 1978 in Kelheim ) was a German lawyer and politician ( CSU ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in 1932 at the humanistic old grammar school in Regensburg, Bauer began studying law and political science at the universities of Würzburg and Munich , which he completed after completing his legal clerkship at the Regensburg courts and at the Nuremberg Higher Regional Court in 1939 with the second state examination. From 1940 he was a court assessor and district judge in Kelheim. Shortly afterwards he was drafted into the Wehrmacht and took part in the Second World War as a soldier until 1945 . From 1945 to 1951 he was chairman of the Kelheim District Court, and from 1951 to 1958 of the Abensberg District Court .

Political party

Bauer joined the CSU , has been deputy chairman of the CSU district of Lower Bavaria since 1968 and deputy state chairman of the Christian Social Lawyers working group since 1970.

MP

Bauer was a member of the Kelheim District Council from 1952 to 1958 and a member of the Lower Bavaria District Council from 1958 to 1962 . He was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament from 1962 to 1974.

Public offices

From 1958 to 1966, Bauer was district administrator for the Kelheim district. From December 5, 1966 to November 12, 1974 he was State Secretary in the State Ministry of Justice in the government of the Free State of Bavaria led by Prime Minister Alfons Goppel .
