Joseph Ackermann (born February 16, 1901 in Bulle , † May 5, 1987 in Freiburg , entitled to live in Düdingen and Plasselb ) was a Swiss politician ( CSP ).

Life

Joseph Ackermann, a member of the Roman Catholic Church , was born in Bulle on February 16, 1901 as the son of the editor of the conservative Catholic newspaper " Le Fribourgeois " Joseph Ackermann senior. After graduating from the college in Saint-Maurice , he enrolled for a law degree in Freiburg , Zurich and Paris one, which he in 1924 with the Licentiate completed.

His first professional function was from 1926 to 1930 as a substitute for the Freiburg public prosecutor . He then worked as a lawyer in Bulle from 1930 to 1941 . In addition, he was director of the "Crédit Gruyérien" between 1932 and 1941 and of the Freiburger Elektrizitätswerke between 1951 and 1969. In the Swiss Army , Ackermann served as first lieutenant as an auditor and later as the court president of the 2nd division.

Joseph Ackermann, who was married to Jeanny, died on May 5, 1987 at the age of 86 in Freiburg.

Political career

Joseph Ackermann was a member of the Freiburg Grand Council from 1931 to 1941 . Subsequently, from 1941 to 1951 he held the office of finance director in the State Council . He also sat on the National Council between 1947 and 1951 . Ackermann, who presided over the CSP of the canton of Friborg , also acted as president of the Chemins de fer fribourgeois (GFM) and the tourism company "Gruyères-Moléson-Vudalla SA" .
