Joseph Félon (born August 21, 1818 in Bordeaux , † 1896 in Nice ) was a French painter , sculptor , lithographer and glass painter .

In 1857 Joseph Félon was commissioned to draw 22 cardboard boxes for the choir windows of the Sainte Pérpetue church in Nîmes . These were made by Frédéric Martin stained glass in Avignon .

In 1864 he was commissioned by the city of Paris to restore the west rosette of the church of St-Étienne-du-Mont , which dates from the 17th century. In the same church in 1866 he created a new window with motifs from the childhood of Christ. In 1868 he was commissioned to restore the Sagesse de Salomon (Wisdom of Salomon ) window in the St-Gervais-St-Protais church .

In 1876, Joseph Félon created a window on the theme of redemption in a chapel in the Saint-Séverin church . Although he was not originally a glass painter, Joseph Félon was able to set up a workshop in Paris and received many public and private commissions.

Joseph Félon created sculptures on the facades of the Richelieu Pavilion ( Louvre ), the Sorbonne and for churches.
