Joseph John Fox (born August 2, 1855 in Green Bay , Wisconsin , † March 14, 1915 ibid) was the fifth Catholic bishop of Green Bay .

The only bishop of Green Bay to date to emerge from the diocese completed his theological studies in Belgium at the Catholic University of Leuven . Fox was ordained a priest on June 7, 1879 . Bishop Franz Xaver Krautbauer called him his secretary. Fox later served as a pastor in Marinette on the Michigan border and as vicar general of the diocese.

Pope Pius X appointed Fox Bishop of Green Bay on May 27, 1904. He received the episcopal ordination on July 25, 1904 from his predecessor, Sebastian Gebhard Messmer , now Archbishop of Milwaukee . Co- consecrators were Bishops William Stang of Fall River and Frederick Eis of Sault Sainte Marie-Marquette .

As a bishop, he particularly promoted the expansion of parish schools in his diocese. During his term of office, the new construction of the episcopal residence, the current seat of the diocese administration, also fell.

On November 7, 1914, he resigned his diocese for health reasons and was appointed titular bishop of Ionopolis .
