Joseph Yapo Aké

Joseph Yapo Aké (born April 11, 1951 in Memni ) is Archbishop of Gagnoa .

Life

Joseph Yapo Aké was ordained a priest on July 9, 1978 . On May 15, 2001, John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Castellum Tatroportus and auxiliary bishop in Abidjan .

The Archbishop of Abidjan , Bernard Cardinal Agré , donated him episcopal ordination on September 2nd of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Auguste Nobou , Archbishop of Korhogo , and Paul Dacoury-Tabley , Bishop of Grand-Bassam .

He was named bishop of Yamoussoukro on July 21, 2006, and was installed in office on September 23 of the same year. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Archbishop of Gagnoa on November 22, 2008 .
