Juan Carlos de la Ossa

Juan Carlos de la Ossa ( Juan Carlos de la Ossa Yunta ; born November 25, 1976 in Cuenca ) is a Spanish long-distance runner .

At the European Cross Country Championships he won three silver medals in the individual standings: 2003 in Edinburgh , 2004 in Heringsdorf and 2006 in San Giorgio su Legnano . In 2002 in Medulin he was sixth, in 2005 in Tilburg ninth. In the team competition he won gold in 2002 and silver in 2003, 2005 and 2006. At the World Cross Country Championships in Saint-Galmier in 2005 , he was ranked 24th, in 2006 in Fukuoka ranked 17th (both on the long distance) and in 2008 in Edinburgh ranked 24th.

At the World Athletics Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis , he was ninth over 5000 m . In 2005 he won the Great Edinburgh Run and the 10 km of Laredo, was second at the Great Manchester Run , tenth at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki over 10,000 m and second at the San Silvestre Vallecana . The following year he won the 15 km of Massamagrell and won over 10,000 m bronze at the European Athletics Championships in 2006 in Gothenburg. In 2007 he defended his title in Massamagrell and finished third in Laredo.

In 2008 he finished seventh at the Great Manchester Run and came 17th at the Olympic Games in Beijing over 10,000 m.

Five times in a row (2004-2008) he was Spanish cross-country champion . In 2006 and 2008 he also won the national title over 10,000 m.
