Juan Vicente Córdoba Villota SJ (born July 23, 1951 in Quito ) is an Ecuadorian priest and bishop of Fontibón .

Life

Juan Vicente Córdoba Villota joined the religious community of the Jesuits , made his profession on January 20, 1969, was ordained a priest on October 19, 1979 and made solemn profession on February 2, 1988. Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Bucaramanga and titular bishop of Ausuccura on June 30, 2004 .

He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Colombia , Beniamino Stella , on August 28 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Cardinal Pedro Rubiano Sáenz , Archbishop of Bogotá , and Víctor Manuel López Forero , Archbishop of Bucaramanga .

He was appointed Bishop of Fontibón on November 25, 2011, and was introduced to the office on February 11 of the following year.
