Juarez Delorto Secco

Juarez Delorto Secco (born July 4, 1970 in Cachoeiro de Itapemirim ) is a Brazilian clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro .

Life

Juarez Delorto Secco first studied civil law and worked as a lawyer . He entered the seminary and studied at the Philosophical-Theological Institute of the Archdiocese of Vitória . He also completed a special degree in canon law . On March 10, 2001, he received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim . Juarez Delorto Secco is part of the secular institute Istituto del Prado .

Until 2010 he was active in pastoral care. Since then he has been cathedral priest at the cathedral of the diocese of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim and chancellor of the diocesan curia. He was responsible for vocational pastoral care in this diocese and worked as a judge at the ecclesiastical court of the Archdiocese of Vitória. He was also a subregent at the seminary and professor at the deacon school .

On 7 June 2017 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Vegesela in Numidia and Auxiliary Bishop in Sao Sebastiao do Rio de Janeiro . The Archbishop of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro, Cardinal Orani João Tempesta OCist , donated him episcopal ordination on September 9 of the same year . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Vitória , Luiz Mancilha Vilela SSCC , and the Bishop of Cachoeiro de Itapemirim , Dario Campos OFM .
